Agents in a multi-agent system start to have the same behavior
2 easy methods to add diversity did not decrease the risk.
Claimed, not confirmed
Researchers find that agents in a multi-agent system can start to have almost the same behavior. They name this homogenization. They measure it with 3 metrics: agreement with the majority, polarization to extremes, and inertia. They did tests on code generation, hiring and scientific peer review. In code generation, it hides correlated errors and increases them.
