Meta started its AI agent Muse on September 8. With the consent of the user, Muse can speak to a carrier and get a lower rate. Amazon banned the shopping function of Muse. Many carriers identify Muse calls and stop them before they get to a person. The platforms say that AI calls use support resources, and that they cause a risk of fraud and harassment. Meta says that Muse does an external task only with the consent of the user.
