Cloudflare Traces shows each step of a web request as a span

In one example, the origin server used 527 ms of a 539 ms web request after a cache miss.

Cloudflare put Traces in open beta. Traces shows each step of a web request as an OpenTelemetry span, in one timeline. The steps include security rules, cache decisions, routing, Worker execution and origin handling. A developer does not write instrumentation code. On December 1, 2026, the price changes. Cloudflare will charge for the data it receives and keeps. The new price applies to Workers Tracing too.
