Anthropic says new protection cut Claude distillation by 90 to 99 percent
Anthropic names the Chinese labs Zhipu and Moonshot, and says that one network used more than 20,000 incorrect accounts at the same time.
Anthropic says that its new protection cut the distillation of Claude by 10 to 100 times. Distillation is when a rival lab uses the output of a model to make a new model. Anthropic gives the cut as around 90 to 99 percent. It names the Chinese labs Zhipu and Moonshot. It says that one network used more than 20,000 incorrect accounts at the same time.
