Google releases Deep Review to check complex documents
Each user gets 2 free document checks each day, and a user with a Gemini API key gets more.
On October 14, 2026, Google Research released Deep Review to all users. The system is agentic and it uses AI. It gives feedback and checks on complex documents, such as science papers, legal documents and finance documents. It also works on Google Docs and presentations. Before this release, authors of more than 16,000 manuscripts used a tool from Google at 4 computer science conferences.
