New York City comptroller tells Anthropic to put safety before its IPO
Levine writes that Anthropic must first put AI safety and governance before its public share sale.
On Wednesday, October 14, New York City Comptroller Levine wrote a letter to Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei. Levine writes that work for the IPO uses resources that safety work also uses. The letter also tells Anthropic to give a timeline for audits and controls.
