Open-source REA lets AI agents examine compiled programs
REA connects agents such as Claude Code to tools such as Ghidra, and it operates on the machine of the user.
The project REA is open-source and has more than 200K stars on GitHub. It connects agents that write code, such as Claude Code and Codex, to tools that examine compiled programs. A developer can tell an agent to find how an app makes a function. In one example, tests matched all 3205 initial x86 test cases of a game function. REA does not say that it gets back the initial source code.
