Daytona gets $60 million at a $1 billion value for an agent cloud

Daytona, a startup that is three years old, makes a cloud that gives each AI agent one computer. The value of the startup is $1 billion.

On Friday, Daytona Platforms told that it has $60 million in Series B funding (an investment step) at a $1 billion valuation. FirstMark Growth is the primary investor. The New York startup has $91 million in all from investors and makes a cloud for AI agents that operate for a long time. It tells that these agents are different from other software and must have a different cloud.

What it makes

Founder Ivan Burazin tells that agents start thousands of short tasks that no one prepared before. Burazin tells that the usual cloud was made for services that operate for a long time.

Daytona gives each agent one computer in a closed, safe space, a sandbox. The space has these systems:

  • Linux
  • Windows
  • macOS
  • GPUs (computer parts for AI work)

The numbers

The new funding is $60 million. The first funding, in February, was $24 million, and FirstMark was the primary investor too. Known technology leaders put in money as angel investors, and three company funds did the same.

What is not known

Daytona gave no numbers for revenue or users. This view is from the company: agents must have a new cloud.

Insight: Money goes to the ground below the agents

Meta and OpenAI each have an agent for personal tasks, free or at $100 a month. The agent gets access to the email, calendar and credit card accounts of a user. The startup gives computers to agents. This seems to show that investors want the cloud below all agents, which gets money from each one. No text tells that these agents use the startup. Monitor which companies use it.
