Maxinsights gets $30M to record work for robot training

The company tells that it supplied 200,000 hours of video for one Genesis AI model, but it gave no test results.

Claimed, not confirmed

Maxinsights is a company in Santa Clara, California. It got a $30 million seed round from Peak XV on October 22. It gives money to more than 5,000 contractors in six countries to record work with a camera. It supplies the video as training data for robots. The company tells that it supplied 200,000 hours of video for GENE-26.5, a model from Genesis AI.

How it works

Workers wear a camera of the company and record work at usual speed in homes, restaurants and hotels. The company does a check of each piece of video with its models. MaxLoop, its software, scores each piece of video when it comes.

The numbers

All numbers come from the company. It tells that it has 2 million hours of video, and 1.5 million hours are prepared for training. It has more than 30 customers. It tells that cost of inspection is down about 80%. It does 450,000 hours of video each month.

What is not known

The rival Mecka AI tells that it also records in homes and kitchens, and the distance can be small. Peak XV tells that quality control is the moat, but that is the view of an investor. The company gave no name of a lab that left a different vendor for it.

Insight: Data sellers gain from the robot money boom

Investors put $47.4 billion into physical AI in the first six months of 2026, tells Crunchbase. Maxinsights tells that it supplied 200,000 hours for Genesis AI. Dyna Robotics told that its model used more than 1 million hours of video of persons. Maybe this is a race to hold robot training data, and the company with good data collects a toll. Monitor if labs name Maxinsights.
