SOFTSWISS report says almost 90% of iGaming companies use AI
The report says fraud prevention increased by a maximum of 30%, and no other group checked it.
Claimed, not confirmed
SOFTSWISS, a software company for online gambling, released its 2027 iGaming Trends report, which covers AI use in the industry. The report says that almost 90% of the $349 billion industry uses AI, from tests to usual work. It asked more than 500 iGaming professionals and more than 65 experts, and no other group checked the results.
Where AI works
Companies use AI for fraud checks, risk scores and compliance. The report says fraud prevention increased by a maximum of 30% and investigation cost decreased by 80%. AWS says deployed AI cut production time by fivefold and saved $3 million each year.
Where a person stays
Respondents were careful with AI that speaks to customers, because customers want contact with a person. They say AI must show unusual data, and a person must make the last decision.
What is not known
SOFTSWISS is an iGaming software company, and the source names no method for the numbers. The report also says that AI tools without control push players to black-market sites. It gives no number for this.
Insight: One model serves profit and player protection
The report says that the same models that push bonuses to players also find problem gambling. In a study of 13 AI models, agents increased prices for users with more wealth. This reads as a risk: with 2 goals, data about the user can have more effect than the written rule. Make your team do a different test for protection.
