Trend AI operates Nvidia Nemotron in customer data centers
Trend AI lets customers operate security AI on their servers, with no data sent to an external model.
Trend AI added the open-weight Nvidia Nemotron model to its security platform Vision One Sovereign and Private Cloud, Techzine tells on Thursday. Customers can do threat investigation and agent-based SIEM (a system for security alerts) fully in their environment. The model operates on Nvidia hardware. The source gave no test results or prices.
How it works
The model goes to the data, not the data to the model. It operates in private clouds, sovereign clouds and on-premises sites. Customers select where the model operates, which version to use and who has access.
What it does
Nemotron reads security signals to find complex threat patterns and attack paths. It helps teams do an investigation and set the sequence of tasks. If an organization sets policies, protective steps follow them.
What is not known
The source gave no data on the precision of the model. It gave no speed numbers and no price. Rachel Jin, CEO of Trend AI, tells that sovereignty is more than where data is. Companies must also control where the AI operates.
Insight: Sovereign AI also pulls customers toward Nvidia hardware
On 21 October, NVIDIA added Confidential Bare Metal for model makers on rented servers, and released open Nemotron 3.5 models. Trend AI at this time uses Nemotron and Nvidia hardware. This reads as a pattern in which each requirement for control of data causes a sale of Nvidia parts. Find which vendor your private AI uses.
