Siri AI adds 5 languages in the 27.2 updates
Siri AI is in beta, is not available in the European Union, and has daily limits.
On 26 October 2026, Apple released the 27.2 software updates. They add French, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese and Spanish to Siri AI, which is, in the words of Apple, a new Siri. Apple tells that 4 more languages will come by the end of the year: Chinese (traditional), Norwegian, Turkish and Vietnamese. The software is in beta.
What it does
Apple tells that Siri AI finds things in the messages, emails and photos of a user. It does tasks in apps, for example to write an email or to change and send photos. It also answers questions about the content on the screen.
The proof
Apple gave no test results. It names the tool “profoundly more capable”, which is a claim of Apple. 6 languages work with this update, with English.
What is not known
Apple gives these limits:
- Siri AI is not available in the European Union in iOS, iPadOS and watchOS.
- Users less than 13 cannot use it.
- Features that use servers have daily limits, and more access will cost a fee in the future.
Apple tells that it works with the European Union to find a solution.
Insight: Siri AI grows by language, and a fee may follow
Apple adds languages in steps, sets daily limits and tells of a fee for more access. In a different test, BabelArena, 5 AI models made more tool errors in low resource languages. They used a maximum of about 2 times the input text. This reads as a rollout that follows cost and quality in each language, and the free tier maybe starts a fee. Look for the date when limits turn into a fee.
