Socure makes a tool that connects AI agents to a known owner

Socure reports 99.99% precision for 2 agents, but the result is from controlled lab tests.

Socure is a company for identity and fraud checks. It made Agent Intelligence, a tool that finds AI agents on a website and gives each agent a trust score. The tool also connects each agent to the person or business that approved it. One part is in use. The next part is in beta, a test period. The last part comes in 2027.

How it works

The tool has 3 parts:

  • Agent Detection finds agents, also those that do not report which they are. It is in use.
  • Agent TrustScore gives a score for identity, permission and risk. It is in beta.
  • Agent Credential is a digital credential that connects an agent to a known owner. It comes in 2027.

The numbers

Socure reports that it found the agents Muse and Instinct with 99.99% precision, across 700 behavior variables. This was in controlled lab tests. The company gave no result from live traffic.

What is not known

Socure reports that most companies stop all agents or let all agents in. No customer has given a result. Socure reports that each website can check a credential without help from Socure.

Insight: An open credential can still lead to one company’s score

4 companies showed an open agent check in Singapore on 14 October. Socure reports that its credential works with all issuers, but its score comes from its identity database. This reads as a contest for control of the trust gate. The format is open, but the score is possibly the cost. Tell your vendor who controls the score.
