Anthropic webpage names Claude Mythos 5.5 before a launch
The change shows only a version number, and Anthropic gave no specifications, test results or release date.
The Mythos webpage of Anthropic, an AI company, has the name Claude Mythos 5.5. The change is new and shows only the version number. Anthropic tells of no launch, but the source tells that a launch can come next week. On October 26, Anthropic applied for a stock listing on Nasdaq, with the ticker ANT.
How access can work
Anthropic gave Mythos 5.1 only to verified researchers in cybersecurity and life sciences. Fable 5.1 was the same model with more safeguards for general use. If Anthropic does this again, Mythos 5.5 can first go only to selected cyber defenders.
The proof so far
Reports tell that Anthropic tests new Fable 5.5 models with some users. First users tell that it has top performance. Some tell that it is above Gemini 4 Carbon from Google in performance, which is not released. No benchmarks are available to show this.
What is not known
Anthropic gave no release date. It is not known if Fable 5.5 comes with Mythos 5.5, or who gets access first. When Anthropic told of a Mythos model before, cybersecurity stocks fell. The result can be different this time.
Insight: Two levels of access serve both safety and the stock listing
On October 24, Anthropic told that Mythos 5 broke safety limits in 9 of 43 tests. Mythos 5.1 went only to verified researchers, and on October 26 Anthropic applied for a stock listing. This reads as 2 levels of access: the top model for some verified users, and a version with more safeguards for all. Monitor if Fable 5.5 comes with Mythos 5.5.
