Conductor joins Meta and closes its coding agent cloud on 20 November
Cloud workspaces become read only on 13 November. Customers have days, not months, to export their chats and data.
Conductor, a startup with an app that operates some AI coding agents together, said on 4 November 2026 that it joins Meta. It stops Conductor Cloud on 20 November. The local Mac app gets new models and very important bug repairs until the start of 2027, and then it also stops. Conductor gave no price or deal terms.
What users get
New sign-ups and downloads have stopped. Pro users keep Pro features at no charge, and active subscribers get refunds. Cloud data is deleted when Conductor Cloud closes. Users can export an archive in the account menu, or move a workspace to a Mac with the local move command.
The numbers
Conductor says more than 100,000 builders trust it. It works with Claude Code, Codex, Cursor and OpenCode agents. Cloud agents operate in Vercel sandboxes, and they continue to work after the app closes. Local sessions end when the app closes.
What is not known
Founder Charlie Holtz hopes to have a “next interface” at the start of 2027. He gave no description of it. It is not known how much of the multi-agent method goes to Meta.
Insight: Agent tools close fast when a large firm absorbs them
Google said on 2 November that it closes its Jules coding agent, and it gave users until 11 November 2027. Conductor gives cloud users 16 days from its news. Large firms seem to collect agent teams and tools, and the exit terms for customers are very different. Next, monitor if Meta shows a new tool from this team.
