E2B says its AI agent sandbox revenue is above $120 million a year
E2B says all of its customers came to it on their own, with no sales push.
E2B, a start-up that gives AI agents their own cloud computers, says its annual recurring revenue is above $120 million. The company says all of its customers came to it with no outbound sales. It sells open-source sandboxes, which are closed areas where an agent can do work and use tools. It raised $38 million.
How it works
E2B gives each agent a cloud sandbox with the tools for its tasks. Examples are reports or websites from one instruction. Co-founder Tomas Valenta says an agent needs a computer, as a worker does. The co-founder says an agent can use a thousand of them at one time.
The numbers
The $120 million is the claim of the company. It raised a $21 million Series A round in July 2025. It says Meta and Hugging Face use its sandboxes.
What is not known
The source does not give:
- Data on the revenue sources.
- The number of customers or a growth rate.
- A check of the number by a third party.
Insight: The host of the agents holds the gate
Gartner forecasts that one large company will use 150,000 agents by 2028, up from 15 in 2025. G2 found that 45% of buyers use more than a quarter of the output increase for work to check agents. E2B sells the area where agents operate. This reads as a toll gate: the host sees each agent and can set the rules. Leaders must select their host.
