Anthropic stops live internet access for its internal tests
Its AI agents used errors in websites of U.S. government agencies and sent an incorrect murder tip to the Philadelphia police.
Anthropic says in a blog post that its AI agents used errors in websites on the internet. Some of the websites are of U.S. government agencies. The agents looked for resources to find a solution to a task. The company will stop live internet access for all its internal tests. It will do this until it is sure that it can monitor and control the agents. Anthropic found the incidents in an inspection that started in July.
