DeepSeek opens web search for AI agents at $0.75 for 1,000 calls
Web lookups from Claude Code, Codex and DeepSeek Harness have a price after October 31, 2026.
On October 17, 2026, DeepSeek opened its Search and Fetch APIs to all developers. Search finds web pages for a query. Fetch reads one page and gives back its text. The price is $0.75 for 1,000 calls for each tool. DeepSeek reports that tool calls from Claude Code, Codex and DeepSeek Harness are free at this time. They have a price from 16:00 UTC on October 31, 2026.
