RLWRLD puts its robot dexterity model on the AWS Marketplace
RLWRLD tells that its model gets 58.7% on a robot test, 10.7 points above the next top result.
RLWRLD, a company that started in 2024, is an AWS Validated Partner and makes physical AI, which is AI that controls robots. On the AWS Marketplace it sells RLDX-1, a robot model for tasks with the hands. It also sells RX, which checks which tasks of a person a robot can do before a firm starts a pilot.
How it works
RLDX-1 has open weights and 8.1 billion parameters (numbers in the model), and it uses vision, language, touch, force and memory together. RX checks the tasks of a person and gives cost numbers. Customers go from RX to a pilot test and then to full use.
The numbers
RLWRLD tells that it gets 58.7% on the RoboCasa GR-1 Tabletop test, against 48.0% for the next top result. It tells that it used about 20% of the computer time that top models use. A test by a different group, the Tektonian VLA Benchmark, puts RLDX-1 in the top group of models.
What is not known
All numbers are from RLWRLD, and it gives no prices and no customer by name. DexBench, a test of 18 tasks with the hands made with Nvidia, has endorsers such as LOTTE and SK Telecom. No scores are given for it.
Insight: AWS sells one buying path for robots and for used software
In October, AWS made a multi-year agreement with rhino.ai: find the work that the used software does, then move it with approval by a person. RLWRLD has the same steps on the same Marketplace: check, pilot test, then full use. This reads as a move by AWS to control how firms get AI. The one who makes the check shapes the AI that firms get. For leaders: find out who makes it.
